Metropolitain
The aim of this photographic project is to create the aesthetics of a ficticious world based on the aesthetics of the films of the German Expressionist movement of the 1920s.
The aesthetics of expressionism are based on a great contrast between the B/W, the hard shadows and the deformed “reality”, with sinuous and diagonal lines, etc. This is because in this movement, more importance is given to the expression of feelings, and different expressions are used to convey it, rather than worriyng about making an objective description of reality.
In more conceptual issues, they want to show the duality of the huamen being (there is a curse and a kindness inside everyone), a great fascination for evil, especially for supernatural monsters (such as vampires, robots, golems, etc.), and also the impossibility of escaping from destiny, usually fatalistic.
